TEXT:
1 John 4:7-21
TOPIC:
GOD’S LOVE FOR US
John
is often referred to as the apostle of love because, from his gospel to the
three epistles, he dwelled so much on the love of God. This also shows that
God's love for all of us never ceased to amaze John.
It
is not uncommon for a follower of Christ to always emphasize one aspect of His
life that impacted him or her the most. John walked so close to Jesus to the
extent that we read that he leaned upon Jesus by the side which showed very
close intimacy.
John
charged believers to love one another because love comes from God. So, to love
genuinely is a clear indication that you are a child of God born of the Spirit
of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
Remember
that if God is love and this same love lives inside us believers, then when we
express this same love to both believers and unbelievers, they will have a
glimpse of the invisible God.
So,
dear friends, "whoever loves God must also love his brother" (vs 21).
QUESTION:
Are there brethren in your life today whom you cannot love, let alone
forgive?
PRAYER:
Kindly allow your response to the above question guide your prayers.
Remain
Blessed
