TEXT:
Isaiah 9:2-4
2:
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the
land of deep darkness a light has dawned.
3:
You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you
as people rejoice at the harvest, as warriors rejoice when dividing the
plunder.
4:
For as in the day of Midian’s defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens
them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor.
TOPIC:
WALKING IN GOD'S VISION
Today's
passage is traditionally attached to Christmas. However, we are considering the
issue of God's vision and walking in it.
As
Abraham received an understanding of God's vision and plan for sinful Sodom and
Gomorrah, leading to intercession (Gen. 18), this year He is ready to walk with
those who are willing to walk with Him.
Sadly,
an ever-increasing number of people are moving down the way of "Sodom and
Gomorrah." Many more are "walking in darkness" and living in the
"land of the shadow of death." The Light needs to dawn on them!
"Death"
is hovering over people. Those who have been called and are walking in God's
vision for the world should specifically align with His purpose.
So,
it is not so much how people conceive what they consider to be God's vision
that should be pursued. It should be what God Himself reveals as His vision
that should be keyed into.
So
much is being done today in the name of God which He has neither acknowledged
nor approved. Watch out! Learn to walk in His vision, not yours!
QUESTION:
In whose vision are you walking?
PRAYER:
Teach me Your ways, O Lord. Show me the Ancient Pathway and help me to walk in
it, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
