TEXT:
MATTHEW 7:24-28
24: “Therefore everyone
who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man
who built his house on the rock.
25: The rain came down,
the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did
not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
26: But everyone who
hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish
man who built his house on sand.

TOPIC:
BUILDING ON A SOLID FOUNDATION
The Sermon on the Mount
was aimed at helping the listeners to be rooted in and manifest the godly
virtues that will help them impact their society positively.
Jesus concluded with an
illustration that surprised all the listeners as He appeared to take the side
of the authorities.
Jesus wants everyone of
us to practice what we learn and not only remain as mere listeners.
It is advisable to
attend conferences, seminars, retreats, etc, where the word of God is taught.
But the most important thing is to have the discipline of putting what we learn
into practice.
That way, we would be
building our spiritual lives on a very solid foundation.
QUESTION:
What attitude do you adopt each time you hear or study the word of God?
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, please help me to always put Your word into practice each time
You speak to me through it so that I will be deeply rooted in You, in Jesus
name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
