TEXT:
MATTHEW 7:1-6
1: “Do not judge, or
you too will be judged.
2: For in the same way
you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be
measured to you.
3: “Why do you look at
the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in
your own eye?
4: How can you say to
your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there
is a plank in your own eye?
5: You hypocrite, first
take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the
speck from your brother’s eye.
6: “Do not give dogs
what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample
them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

TOPIC:
SOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS SO AS TO ASSIST OTHERS
People easily speak ill
of, or condemn, others for the things they do or what they say. And the Church
and many of us are comfortable with it.
Each time you hear two
or more people talking about someone else, it is mostly about the 'wrong'
things they are perceived to be doing.
Jesus cautions us to
desist from such acts as we who stand in judgment over others are not better
than them.
We are all fallible
beings and should never think of judging others. Instead, we are called to deal
with our own personal problems so that we can effectively assist others
confront theirs. Anything less than that is hypocrisy.
QUESTION:
What
do you discuss whenever you talk about someone else?
PRAYER:
Father, I repent of my sin of judging people based on my own human standards.
Please help me to deal with my weaknesses as I appreciate the struggles of
others, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
