TEXT:
2 Corinthians 6:1-13
TOPIC:
NOT LIVING FOR YOURSELF
We are advised to
emulate Paul and his colleagues by living for the joy and edification of
others.
The salvation we got in
Christ is meant to be shared. It is in that regard that Paul would say that
they did not put a stumbling block in believer’s paths.
They further went on to
experience brutal beatings, imprisonment, riots, hard work, sleepless nights
and hunger not because of their own self-fulfillment but for the but for the
upliftment of others.
They chose to be pure,
patient, kind, sincere and honest through using the weapons of righteousness to
the point that they were misconstrued as impostors.
They served humanity to
the point of death, yet they lived. They were beaten, but not killed. They were
sorrowful, yet always rejoicing. They had nothing, yet they possessed
everything.
QUESTION:
How have you been challenged to sit up in your journey of faith today?
PRAYER:
Father, forgive me for often living for myself instead of living for others
according to the example You left for us, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
