TEXT:
Revelation 4:7-11
7.
The first living creature was like a lion, the second creature like a calf
(ox), the third creature had the face of a man, and the fourth creature was
like a flying eagle.
8.
And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of
eyes all over and within [underneath their wings]; and day and night they never
stop saying, “Holy, holy, holy [is the] Lord God, the Almighty [the Omnipotent,
the Ruler of all], who was and who is and who is to come [the unchanging,
eternal God].”
9.
Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanksgiving to Him who
sits on the throne, to Him who lives forever and ever,
10.
the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and they
worship Him who lives forever and ever; and they throw down their crowns before
the throne, saying,
11.
“Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and the
power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they exist, and
were created and brought into being.”

Version Holy Bible)
TOPIC:
THE KING URGES THE PERSECUTED CHURCH TO REMAIN FAITHFUL
The 21st
century church is under attack by several evil agents. Secret societies and
those under their influence see the Church as their greatest enemy which has to
be eliminated. The Church is also facing persecution from other (world)
religions and unbelieving governments.
The church in
Philadelphia is a good example of today’s Church as it was going through
persecution from the “synagogue of Satan” – which could have meant the Jewish
community in Philadelphia.
The persecution was
carried out by the Judaizers outside Jerusalem. Therefore, the Lord sent a
message of encouragement through Apostle John in which He commended their
persistence and commitment.
But they were also
encouraged to continue enduring the persecution. Indeed, today’s Church needs
to persist in the faith. We should not expect God to remove the Church from the
world or instant protection – even though we should pray for God’s protection.
And, above all, the Lord will soon come to reward the persecuted faithful with
glorious rewards.
QUESTION:
Can you endure till the end?
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, help me to endure till the end in order to receive my glorious
crown, in Jesus name, Amen.
Remain
Blessed
