TEXT:
Revelation 1:1-11
1.
The revelation of Jesus Christ that God have Him to show His slaves what must
quickly take place. He sent it and signified it through His angel to His slave
John,
2.
who testified to God’s word and to the testimony about Jesus Christ, in all he
saw.
3.
Blessed is the one who reads and blessed are those who hear the words of this
prophecy and keep what is written in it, because the time is near!
4.
John: To the seven churches in the province of Asia. Grace and peace to you
from the One who is, who was, and who is coming; from the seven spirits before
His throne;
5.
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and
the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has set us free
from our sins by His blood,
6.
and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father- to Him be the glory and
dominion forever and ever. Amen.
7.
Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, including those
who pierced Him. And all the families of the earth will mourn over Him. This is
certain. Amen.
8.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “the One who is, who was,
and who is coming, the Almighty.”
9.
I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation, kingdom, and perseverance
in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of God’s word and the
testimony about Jesus.
10.
I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like
a trumpet
11.
saying, “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches:
Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

TOPIC:
READ AND BELIEVE THE KING’S WORD TO BE BLESSED
The book of Revelation
closes the Scripture and seems to be very difficult to understand. But it is
very rich in good news. Indeed, without it, there would have been a lot of
unclarified issues which could have left believers in great confusion.
Therefore, the
unfolding future events revealed to us through John should be taken and
considered with great celebration. Though it is the Biblical revelation of
future events, it was addressed to particular churches that existed at the time
of John the Apostle (v. 11).
Truly, God meant well
for His people and revealed the future for all generations of the believers
still all is fulfilled. However, this is the promise of blessings for the
faithful who read and obey the Word: “Blessed is the one who reads the word of
this prophecy and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is
written in it, because the time is near” (Revelation 1:3).
This great promise
seems to be hidden from Bible readers, especially those who do not like reading
the book of Revelation. And it is also most unfortunate that many believers are
lazy in studying the Holy Bible.
Every true believer
should consider the Holy Bible as a message of great blessings that should
never be missed.
QUESTION:
How often do you study the Bible?
PRAYER:
O Lord, move and strengthen me to read Your Word, in Jesus name, Amen.
Remain
Blessed
