TEXT:
Matthew 5:27-30
27.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’;
28.
but I say to you that everyone who [so much as] looks at a woman with lust for
her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29.
If your right eye makes you stumble and leads you to sin, tear it out and throw
it away [that is, remove yourself from the source of temptation]; for it is
better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body
to be thrown into hell.
30.
If your right hand makes you stumble and leads you to sin, cut it off and throw
it away [that is, remove yourself from the source of temptation]; for it is
better for you to lose one of the parts of your body than for your whole body
to go into hell.

Version Holy Bible)
TOPIC:
DEALING WITH LUST
Adultery/fornication
destroys the testimony of an individual in society. Therefore, everyone who
committed this sin was punished based on existing laws.
Jesus taught His
followers to develop the discipline that would make them relate in a better way
with the opposite sex.
Men should not look at
a woman with the desire to have sexual intercourse with her as that would be
the same as actually committing the act.
He taught them to
develop self-control so as to tame any part of their bodies that will lead them
to sin.
We must take decisive
steps against all the images, appearances and the things that are done by
unbelievers and fellow Christians that could lead us to sin.
QUESTION:
In what ways have you contributed in making another Christian fall into the sin
of lust?
PRAYER:
Help me, dear Lord, to resist anything that will make anyone fall into sin and
grant me the grace to discipline myself so as not to lust after the opposite
sex, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
