ACTS 21:17-26
TOPIC:
DEALING WITH RUMOURS
In
today's passage, while Paul happily narrated what God had done among the
Gentiles through his ministry, there was a rumour that he was involved in
teaching against the Law of Moses, not to circumcise children and condemning
living according to the custom. Of course, this was not true.
So,
Paul willingly submitted himself to Jewish custom to show that he was not
working against the Council's decision.
Sometimes
we must go the extra mile to avoid offending others, especially when doing so
would hinder God's work.
As
a Child of God, handle and respond to all rumours in line with God's words.
QUESTION: Are
you a victim of false rumours about yourself and your ministry or are you
surveyor of false rumours?
PRAYER: O
God, help me to remain true, firm and steadfast even in the face of false
rumours, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
