TEXT:
Revelation 3:1-6
1.
“To the angel of the church in Sardis write: “The One who has the seven spirits
of God and the seven stars says: I know your works; you have a reputation for
being alive, but you are dead.
2.
Be alert and strengthen what remains, which is about to die, for I have not
found your works complete before My God.
3.
Remember therefore what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. But
if you are alert, I will come like a thief, and you have no idea at what hour I
will come against you.
4.
But you have a few people in Sardis who have not defiled their clothes, and
they will walk with Me in white, because they are worthy.
5.
In the same way, the victor will be dressed in white clothes, and I will never
erase his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before My
Father and before His angels.
6.
“Anyone who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.

TOPIC:
BEWARE OF HYPOCRISY
Hypocrisy
is a serious problem that is very manifest in the Church today.
Sadly,
some believers pretend to be real Christians but a little encounter would
reveal who they truly are. The Church at Sardis was reputed to be alive but was
actually dead.
Jesus
called on its members to wake up from their slumber and strengthen what was
left that was about to die. They were also urged to continue holding on to what
they had received so that they would not be taken unawares.
As
you live today, you should check if there are any traces of hypocrisy in your
life. Work towards overcoming those things you hide from others and change
everything that hinders you from properly representing Christ wherever you find
yourself.
This
will make you receive a worthy commendation from the Lord.
QUESTION: How
good are you at pretending before the people you meet on a daily basis?
PRAYER: Expose
every trace of hypocrisy in my life and make me Your true representative
wherever I go, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
